What I wanted to achieve in 2016 and my 2017 New Year Resolutions/ goals

Hello all,

I hope you all had a wonder Christmas. With new years just round the corner I thought I would share an update on how I got on with my 2016 goals and what I would like to achieve in 2017,

So first 2016, these were goals I set this time last year and an update on how I got on:

1) Buying our first home:

I wanted to buy a new home and I
did. I love my cottage, its beautiful and I even for a cat….. very happy

 

2) Build my blog:

So I was a little flaky last year… and
again this year… I started out well and don’t think I did too bad…. better than
last year but really need to sort myself out…. I don’t think a YouTube channel
will work… I just don’t like being filmed enough…. But I really do enjoy
writing… so I might start trying to add some short stories.

 

3) Get a new job:

So last year I was seconded into the job
I was doing and I wanted to secure a permanent role. As it turns out we had a
huge restructure, so I didn’t really have a choice but to get a new job and so
far I think I’m enjoy it!

 

So looking forward to the next year, My goals for 2017 are:

 

1) Eat clean:

Cook from scratch more. Use clean food and healthy foods. Stop putting rubbish
in my body.  Drink more water, at least
2ltrs of water a day.

 

2) Keep tidy:

Tidy house, tidy mind. Don’t keep junk… you don’t need it. Try a capsule
wardrobe, go toward quality not quantity.

 

3) Start a hobby and stick to it!:

If you want to turn a hobby into a business, find something you really love
doing and stick to it. I love writing so actually try and put aside an hour
each day to do some writing or blogging or something! Also I want to learn how to blog properly. Make it look a bit more professional and learn to take a edit pictures better.

 

4) Get up earlier:

Actually get up when your alarm goes off. Have a cup of coffee and breakfast at
home before work! You don’t need to snooze for 30 mins, it’s not useful sleep.
Also, don’t use phone before bed, read for 30 mins.

 

5) Do some exercise each day:

Even if it’s just a walk or yoga or 20 mins on the cycling machine… do
something, I have got really lazy! I have brough Joe Wicks, Lean in 15 so I am going to try and use this for the exercises as well as number 1 to eat better.

6) Read more books which make a difference:
I have read to many chick flick books and I do enjoy then, but they are all the same. So this year I want to read more books which teach me something, are interesting or just different. I am going to start with a book by Marie Kondo called The Life-changing magic of Tidying, not only will this help with point 2 but its something different and interesting and will teach me something.
