Plas Curig hostel review – my weekend away in Snowdonia

Hello all,

As most of you will know I love Snowdonia, in North Wales. In Feb last year stayed in Plas Curig hostel and had such an amazing time I thought I should share a quick review with you

So we arrived in Wales and spent some time in Betwsy-Coed and did some shopping at Cotswold Rock Bottom shop. After a bit of walking we went back to the Hostel. We hired a private room for our stay which was beautiful. They do shared rooms, like other hostels, but it was really nice to have this option. It had a little heater in the room and the room was big enough for the 2 of us but not so big it got too cold.

There are quite a few individual showers and toilets, which even though they were being used by lots of people, were always clean and tidy.

The staff were really friendly and welcoming. In the living room area they had a lovely open fire. They had a TV for those who wanted to use it but as it was winter it was really quiet and we were the only ones in there, so we just read a book my the fire.

My 1 regret from the holiday is that I didn’t buy one of the blankets they had for sale. They had one on the bed in the room we were staying in, but they had others for sale in reception. They were pretty pricey, but they were locally made and just so snuggly!

I would recommend this for anyone who love the great outdoors! They also have camping facilities for those

Lots of love
