Last week I was lucky enough to be invited by the lovely Katie Kirk to the Lush Christmas event for 2017.
As one of the few nights out since having my baby, I was a little nervous, but I was welcomed not only by fantastic staff but some wonderful blogger friends as well.
The naked alternatives are products, shower gels, shampoos, perfumes, lip tints, body butters etc, which have had the water removed and made into solids. As the water has been removed this means that there is no bacteria in the products, as well as reducing the plastic used in the packaging. As someone who’s interested in recycling and reducing waste I love the idea of the ‘naked products’.
The Christmas range this year is, as always, gorgeous. Everything from wonderfully fruity Plum Snow to the fantastic winter spice scents of The Magic of Christmas, I loved every bit of this range. The range is beautiful and pampering and I struggled to pick which ones to try first but Christmas Sweater called out to me. The festive spicy scent and the fantastic patterns sold it to me!
We then had the opportunity to make our own lush product, Bunche De Noel. This process showed my how fresh the ingredients are. We blitzed the fresh cranberry’s and Mandarins and added the ground almonds are other products and hand mixed together, almost like baking a cake. It was then kindly potted up for us to take home to try out.
I haven’t actually tried one of these cleansers before and I have been using it for about a week now and LOVE IT! I use it each morning in the shower and it leaves my skin feeling clean and fresh. My skin is having a major ‘post pregnancy’ freak out while my hormones settle back down but I’m sure without this it would be much worse.
